Grounding Heart began with a simple idea: take something natural, backed by a growing body of research, and make it practical, beautiful and easy to fit into everyday life for both people and their pets.

We're a brother-and-sister team from Australia with backgrounds in health sciences - Summer in clinical psychology, Fraser in osteopathy. When we first discovered grounding, we were sceptical, but the changes we noticed in our own sleep and physical wellbeing quickly changed our minds. What we couldn't find, though, was a product that fit how we actually lived - something durable, that worked underneath our existing linen sheets, and didn't need constant washing that wears down conductive fibres over time. So we set out to build it ourselves.

The idea for our pet range came soon after, when a veterinarian told Summer she regularly recommends grounding as a supportive wellness practice for ageing animals and pets with health challenges. The grounding mats on the market felt like an afterthought being separate from the bed, with cords pets could chew or tangle in. We wanted something considered from the ground up: comfort, durability and grounding technology built into one product.
